Sowing Into Good Ground: Why Your Support Matters More Than You Know

There was a time in my early walk with Christ when my faith was still in its infancy. I didn’t know much about doctrine or theology — I just knew I needed something to believe in. Something to hold onto. Something that would help me grow.

Back then, I watched every televangelist I could find. Benny Hinn. Jesse Duplantis. Joyce Meyer. Juanita Bynum, Noel Jones, Joel Osteen, Paula White and T.D. Jakes. Anyone who spoke faith with conviction. And if they said, “Buy the oil,” I bought the oil. If they said, “This holy water will bless your home,” I bought the holy water. Not because I was naïve — but because I was hungry. I needed something that would increase my faith.

And here’s the truth: Every seed I sowed in that season strengthened me. Every offering, every tithe, every act of obedience — it shaped my spiritual foundation.

I became one of the top tithers at my home church because I believed in the mission. I saw God move — in me, in others, in the pastor, in the ministry as a whole. And when the season shifted and I no longer aligned with the activity there, I stopped supporting financially and moved on. But I never regretted the seeds I planted. They produced fruit in my life.

She gathers with grace — harvesting provision, legacy, and light. A sacred moment in the vineyard, where elegance meets purpose and every seed once sown now bears fruit.

I’m saying this because sometimes the life you save may be your own. Sometimes the seed you sow doesn’t show up in your life — it shows up in your children’s lives. Your adult children. Your siblings and parent's life. Even in the life of someone who once opposed you.

Let’s be honest: When your enemy is blessed, the strife often dissolves. That’s why God said, “Love your enemies and pray for them.”   Because blessing breaks cycles that bitterness keeps alive.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…” — Luke 6:38
